Deborah Ball
Deborah has spent 15 years working with not for profit organisations to develop robust organisational strategies, secure sustainable income from high value funders and build profile and impact through strategic communications. Most recently, as a charity consultant, she has helped organisations focused on sustainable finance, economic justice and public policy development to refine their theories of change, build cases for support and diversify their funding models.
As Director of Fundraising & Communications at responsible investment campaigning organisation, ShareAction, Deborah helped to clarify, simplify and effectively communicate the mission and strategy; doubling income in less than three years, increasing brand and media profile and improving the operational effectiveness of the organisation. Previously, she developed and implemented the fundraising strategy at international sustainability non-profit, Forum for the Future and prior to this, spent several years raising awareness and funding for social welfare charities including, Catch22, Broadway Homelessness & Support and St Mungo’s.
Deborah has extensive experience in building effective relationships, and delivering successful proposals and programmes. An analytical and systemic thinker, she is adept at understanding and simplifying complex information, building strategies to achieve impact, and convincing others to buy into them. Deborah has a keen interest in creating system change to achieve a just, fair and sustainable future and thrives when supporting and working with others towards a shared purpose.
